Casting Bits: Taissa Farmiga, Stevie Nicks returning to 'AHS', 'The Rookie' cast Danny Nucci and more

Here are the latest additions to your favorite scripted shows we're covering on our site: 

American Horror Story (FX)

Taissa Farmiga, Gabourey Sidibe, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy and Stevie Nicks will return in season 8's Apocalypse, creator Ryan Murphy has announced on Twitter. 


The Rookie (ABC)

Danny Nucci (The Fosters) will recur on Nathan Fillion's upcoming cop drama.

Nucci will play Detective Sanford Motta, a tough major assault crimes detective in the station.

Bull (CBS)

Carolyn McCormick (Law & Order) has booked a guest starring role in season 3 of the CBS drama. 

Per TV Line, she will play an "authoritative, tough, seasoned, fair-minded judge who doesn’t tolerate a lot of drama in her courtroom."

Legacies (CW)

Peyton Alex Smith (The Quad) has boarded the Originals spinoff in a series regular role.

Smith plays Rafael, a dangerously charismatic and newly-triggered werewolf. With a combination of a pure and loyal heart mixed with a lifetime of abuse and anger, Rafael wants to be a good person but lives in a constant struggle with the emotional demons that have plagued him through a difficult childhood.



Michael Mcgrady (Ray Donovan) and Ruffin Prentiss (The Arrangement) will recur in season 2 of the military drama.

McGrady will play Commanding Officer Harrington, a confident and skilled mentor to members of Bravo team. Having been a Tier One operator himself, the wisdom he carries from both in and out of the field is invaluable.

Prentiss will portray Summer Kairos, the team’s new EOD (Explosives Ordinance Disposal) tech.


Law and Order: SVU (NBC) 

Mark Tallman (Rise) will recur in season 20 of the courtroom drama.

Tallman will play Gavin Riley, the chief of detectives who’s on his way to being governor one day and isn’t afraid to step on toes. He’s looking to make his presence felt and name known.


Will & Grace (NBC)

David Schwimmer (Friends) will recur on the hit NBC sitcom as Grace's new love interest. He will appear in five episodes. 


Good Trouble (Freeform)

Hayden Byerly will guest star on the spinoff of The Fosters. Details on his character are still under wraps.
