Casting Bits: 'STAR' cast Terrence J. & Lyndie Greenwood, Mykelti Williamson to recur on 'Lethal Weapon' & More

Here are the latest additions to your favorite new and returning shows we're covering in our site: 

Star (FOX)

Terrence J (Think Like A Man) and Lyndie Greenwood (Sleepy Hollow) will recur in season 3 of the music drama.


Terrence J will play Ryan French, a celebrity host who has a big following, but he wants to use his platform to effect social change. 


Greenwood will portray Megan Jetter, stunning and sophisticated, friendly yet fearless, she is a lawyer who just set up her own firm back in town. After a failed marriage, there is a stiffness beneath her warmth. Business is business.


Lethal Weapon (FOX)

Mykelti Williamson (Chicago PD) will recur in season 3 of the cop drama.


Williamson will play Tom Barnes, Cole’s CIA recruiter. 


Proven Innocent (FOX)

Laurie Holden (The Walking Dead) and Elaine Hendrix has boarded the upcoming legal drama from Danny Strong. 


Holden will play Greta Bellows, the wife of Gore Bellows (Grammer), the hard-as-nails and tough-on-crime state’s attorney. She is shrewd and sexy, a Lady Macbeth type. Smooth and driven, she’s got her eyes on the prize and wants her husband to win the Attorney General race, possibly even more than he does


Hendrix will play Susan Andrews, descriobed as "a shameless self-promoting TV pundit who has the pull to sway public opinion with her proclamations of guilt or innocence."

Grand Hotel (ABC)

JenCarlos Canela (Telenovela) is set for a recurring role on the upcoming drama. 


Canela is set to recur on the drama series from ABC Studios as El Rey, a popular Miami recording artist who’s sexy, charismatic, energetic, and amusingly cocky. He is a major player both in the industry and with the women. He is offered a chance to be a staple performer at the hotel.


Magnum P.I. (CBS)

Cyndi Lauper will guest star in an upcoming episode of the CBS reboot. The actress broke the news of her casting on Instagram.

Hawaii Five-0 (CBS)

Gladys Knight and Louis Gossett Jr. will take on the role of Grover's parents in season 9. 


The Fix (ABC)


Molly Quinn (Castle) will recur on the upcoming legal drama.

Co-written and executive-produced by attorney/O.J. Simpson prosecutor Marcia Clark, the series centers on Maya Travis (The Mentalist‘s Robin Tunney), a Los Angeles DA who suffers a devastating defeat when prosecuting A-list actor Sevvy Johnson (Lost‘s Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje) for double murder. With her high-profile career derailed, she flees for a quieter life in Washington. Eight years later, when Sevvy Johnson is under suspicion for another murder, Maya is lured back to the DA’s office for another chance at justice. 

Quinn is set to play Lindsay, the murder victim’s sister. 


She will be joined by Erik Palladino, Skye P. Marshall & Taylor Kalupa who are also set to appear in a recurring basis throughout season 1. 

Palladino will play Leo Foster, a deputy at the D.A.’s office. Marshall will portray Angela Ashley, an ambitious young lawyer who becomes involved in the case. Kalupa is Jessica Meyer, the murder victim for whom Sevvy is under suspicion.

The InBetween (NBC)


Justin Cornwell (Training Day) has boarded the upcoming procedural in a recasting. 

Cornwell will fill the role of former FBI agent Damien Asante, which was played in the original pilot by The Originals‘ Yusuf Gatewood. 


New Amsterdam (NBC)


Margot Bingham (She's Gotta Have It) has landed a recurring role on the network's new medical drama. 

Details on her role are still under wraps. 


Law & Order SVU (NBC)


Sebastian Roche (The Originals) will guest star on the crime procedural. 

Roché will play Arlo Beck, the charismatic leader of a female empowerment group.


iZombie (CW)


Bryce Hodgson, who plays Don E, has been upped to series regular for the show's upcoming fifth season.
