HBO's returning scifi show, Westworld will expand its universe on its forthcoming second season in 2018.
On Day 2 of the 2017 Variety Fair Summit, co-creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan hinted at the possibility of introducing the Roman and Medieval worlds as part of the show's theme park setting in season 2. Both worlds were included in the 1973 film, where the series is based on.
Fans will remember that season 1's finale gave a peek into the Samurai world that might also be deeply explored when the new season opens. With this new development, it's unclear whether the Roman and Medieval worlds will be the main setting of the series moving forward.
