Graduation
The May 9th episode of The Vampire Diaries, “The Walking Dead”, will find Mystic Falls “overrun with ghosts intent on settling old scores and fulfilling their supernatural destinies.” Executive Producer Julie Plec has a spoilery preview for the final two episodes of season 4, starting next week. I want to know your thoughts, speculations and theories, so hit the comments below and let’s discuss!

“Part of Silas’ plan to drop the veil — and Bonnie’s effort to either help him or stop him — they kind of blow up in everybody’s face in ‘The Walking Dead,’ and we get our first glimpses of what would happen if this veil fell completely. We start to have some ghosts coming through from the other side. It’s a nice collection of faces that will make us happy, and then some faces that we thought we probably shouldn’t see again because they’re up to no good.” (So they are technically ghosts? “It’s the same way we’ve done in the past when they break their way through from the other side, they have corporeal form,” Plec explains. “It’s just that if you kill them and the veil’s down, they can just walk right back through. So they’re kind of indestructible.”)

“It’s difficult to throw an event in Mystic Falls without it going catastrophically awry, but one of the things that was really important to us is that we do give this event itself its due,” says executive producer Julie Plec, who cowrote the episode with Caroline Dries. “We approached this episode, in its own way, like a series finale because our character’s graduating from high school is a shift in the show to open up a lot of new storytelling opportunities and new environments. So we really wanted to be able to get all the emotion out of this episode that we could before we move on to a different life. We made sure that in spite of everything that’s going on in the midst of it, we still get those great friendship moments and nostalgia moments that I, as a fan of TV over the decades, loved so much on high school shows as you reached that milestone.”

Someone will finally take ‘The Cure’ in the finale, but who?

“I will tell you that we started the season having firmly decided exactly who was gonna get the cure, and about halfway through the season, we changed our minds.”

What will Elena decide her true feelings are for each of the Salvatore Brother, and will Stefan head out of town for the start of season 5 – something Paul Wesley has rooted for?

“It all hinges on what, if any truth comes out of Elena and Elena’s situation,” Plec says. “Stefan has been pretty clear about being ready to move on. So the question is will he need to?”

On Klaus’ Love child with Hayley, and whether Caroline will know the news by the time Klaus makes his surprise return (or if he’ll tell her)?

“I cried some really beautiful sad tears, and I cried some great happy tears as well” — while writing the episode.

Honestly, I am sooo ready for this just to be over… I am almost 100% sure that this seasons shoker in the finale will be Elena’s death after fighting Katherine. ANd surely She will say that She loves Damon BUT also never stopped loving Stefan… Ms. J. Plec, just wrap it up already… it is getting tedious!

It’s exactly what I’ve been saying. The whole love triangle thing instead or being alluring, it has become a burden to the fans. They had made of the series so much more, with characters like Klaus, Rebbekah, Alaric, etc. that were so beloved and we wanted to see much more of their stories unfold, but no, they always return to that stupid love triangle. Even when it was cruel and she picked Stefan last time and left Damon to die alone I thought we’d finally see an end to that love triangle, but oh no, there’s no rest for the wicked, they decided to come up with that ridiculous sire bond, which we ALL know can be broken at any moment, returning her to Stefan’s wide open arms, and so the love triangle lives on. I wonder why can’t they just let Damon have the girl this time, prove Katherine wrong, and move on with the series, into more interesting things. That’s why Joseph Morgan gets his own show now, because he and Candice are the only interesting thing going on on TVD, and that’s just sad since the show was not intended that way. Of course, it’s of benefit to us, the fans who are absolutely tired of all this, to be able to move unto another show with our new favorite characters if TVD keeps on being a drag rather than a pleasure to watch. It’s the only thing I have to thank the producers for, that they moved my favorite characters into a completely different show so I don’t feel the least sorry when TVD bites the dust.

Can not agree more! I support everything that was said in the comment! Even as I do actually want for Stelena to be endgame, but at this point I think it sooo beyond the Delena vs Stelena.

I want stefan to finally let go or get the girl, and Damon to have his path and not be linked to the brother, daddy, Katherine/Elena issues!
