You always wonder when a series is going to start surprising you. Those oh-so-common twists and turns are usually the trademark of new ideas starting to fizzle, but sometimes, and especially with dramas, the “not knowing” what’s coming for you next is to be expected.

With season 2 of Secret Life, already Ashley has a friend, Marshall’s dead, and Amy has a new “boyfriend” named Jimmy. None of that was certainly expected.
