The New Normal - Season 1

As you’ve probably gathered just from watching The New Normal, witty dialogue is kind of a Ryan Murphy thing. But as the showrunner revealed to Zap2It, we get to look forward to some dialogue-free New Normal – or at least, a completely dialogue-free act of one whole episode.

Now, before you start wondering if The New Normal is going all silent film on us, Ryan elaborates that the act will be set entirely to music – in fact, to one song in particular.

“We thought wouldn’t it be great if we had an entire act that doesn’t have any words,” says Murphy. “There’s a song called ‘Beautiful Boy’ by John Lennon, so we reached out to Yoko Ono to use that song for an entire act with no words and all music.”

“Beautiful Boy”, hmm…does this sound like it could be part of the season finale to you as much as it does to me? What do you think of good chunk of a New Normal episode going completely without dialogue – yay or no way?
