Kingkiller Chronicle Update: John Rogers boards Lin Manuel-Miranda's TV series as showrunner

Kingkiller Chronicle has found a showrunner. 

John Rogers (Leverage/The Librarians) will serve as executive producer of the upcoming TV series produced by Lin Manuel-Miranda, which is based on the first three novels penned by Pat Rothfuss. As previously reported, the Hamilton creator will also take charge in developing characters and storyline for the show as well as in music composition.

With the addition of the incredibly talented John Rogers as showrunner, we have now assembled the perfect creative team to develop a premium quality scripted series to launch our ‘Kingkiller Chronicle’ franchise.

The unique collaboration between our television and feature film divisions will enable us to dramatically expand the world of this iconic franchise for its millions of passionate fans while introducing the property to a whole new global audience. 

No premiere date has been set for Kingkiller Chronicle.
