Everyone who has been tuning in to Fox's new hit drama, The Following, can attest to the heart pounding pace the psychological thriller has set. Show creator and EP Kevin Williamson answers a few of our burning questions about the show's upcoming episodes. Williamson touches on our unlikely kidnapping threesome, story game changers, Ryan finally getting his hero on and much more.

Our threesome of kidnappers taking it to the next level.

Next week's episode, "The Siege", opens with our three kidnappers in bed together, so you can assume that things went further. Elsewhere in casa de murder, Joey finally gets his hands on a phone... just as Claire is about to lose her cool.

Will the entire season be about Joey’s kidnapping?

“No, no, no. There’s some game-changers that happen. Seven is a big game changer [and] 6 is a game changer. When I say game changer, I mean there’s a big turn in the story that takes us into a new direction.”

Is Ryan ever going to best Joe? He’s losing this fight so far!

“Yup. Ryan’s our hero — he’s going to start dinging Joe’s plan left and right. That’s the fun of the show and the fun of the second half. It’s that kind of show where [you think] the FBI is behind the ball for five minutes. But they eventually get ahead of it and they really start kicking ass.”

Is Parker bad?

“Well, you can look at it two ways. Is she more than she pretends to be? Or is that sort of her little psychology move of trying to befriend this man and get him to talk to her too — so Ryan Hardy isn’t the only person he’ll talk to. [Is] she trying to build a relationship, which is basically psychology 101.”

Will Joe stay in prison the whole season?

We don't want to spoil too much so the only thing we'll say is no, Joe Carroll will not remain in one place for the entire first season.

Will things get better for Claire~Natalie Zea?

“It doesn’t get better,” Zea ominously previews. “That’s not to say that they aren’t reunited — because I’m not saying that at all. What I’m saying is that even if [they are], the intensity continues to grow and grow and grow.” Zea also teases that the inevitable showdown between Claire and Joey’s captor, Emma, will be “surprising.”
