NY Mag revealed in their article today that “The Event” is about… wait for it…

ALIEN INVASION.

Will NBC will confirm or deny this once they realize NY Mag spilled the beans? Please note that we can’t be 100% sure it’s an alien invasion, we’re just reporting what NY Mag’s writer spoiled/foiled.

    I doubt I’ll bother with this one. NBC/NBC Universal has an incredibly bad track record for canceling its science fiction shows, even when they’re doing well. Why on earth would I get invested in a storyline and characters when odds are that the series will be canceled after the first season, á la “Surface”, no matter how good it may be (“Surface” was nominated for an Emmy and was incredibly popular)?

    I completely agree…the problem with watching shows like this is that they get cancelled…and you feel silly for having watched at all.

    Great aliens, well that would be orginal. Well it is better than another terroist fighting show like 24. This show will go no where if they don’t edit better ie. less back and forth in time frames while telling the story. And for the non scifi fan plus reality show folks the programers need to sex the show up. This way they don’t have to engage their brain much and just follow the background noise of who is sleeping with who or who is trying to sleep with who.
