Season 9 of Supernatural begins with the boys picking up the pieces from the events of last season. Once things settle down a bit, we can expect another flashback episode delving further into the Men of Letters, plus Dean talking to animals (?!). Enjoy these spoilers that EP Jeremy Carver told EW.
- It will take at least the first three episodes for the show to get back into the case-of-the-week format as before, then they’ll be dealing with the fallout of thousands of angels falling from the sky.
“There are a lot of pieces to pick up. As we pick up those pieces, we’re always introducing new things, but we’re very much in the world of consequences of last season.”
- An upcoming episode will flash back to the 1930s to further explore the Men of Letters and the boys’ home, the bunker:
“We’ll be delving a lot more into that, and in fact we’ll be seeing the very first two hunters to ever be stationed at the men of letters bunker. That’s a really, really fun episode we have coming up early in the season where we will be flashing back to 1935.”
- Ever want to see Dean get into a fight with a bird? Now’s your chance! Carver says we can look forward to an episode featuring “Doctor Dean-little,” where he talks to, and apparently doesn’t get along with, animals:
“One of the highlights being Dean getting into a brawl with a pigeon. It’s a logical progression from fairies to pigeons.”
I’m not sure what to make of that; what do you think? Share your thoughts in the Comments!
