We Need To Talk About KevinThe CW knows Supernatural’s fans will follow the show anywhere! The show is on the move again for Season 9, returning to the time slot where it began in 2005 on the WB.

Supernatural will air on Tuesdays at 9 pm for the 2013-2014 season, following The Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals. Its new competition at that time will be NCIS: LA on CBS, New Girl and The Mindy Project on Fox, new shows The Goldbergs and Trophy Wife on ABC, and a little show called The Voice on NBC.

It’s nothing particularly spoilery, but here’s the press release from the CW announcing Supernatural’s Season 9:

The thrilling and terrifying journey of the Winchester brothers continues as SUPERNATURAL enters its ninth season.  Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have spent their lives on the road, battling every kind of supernatural threat.  Over the years, after dozens of bloody adventures, they have faced everything from the yellow-eyed demon that killed their mother to vampires, ghosts, shapeshifters, angels and fallen gods.  They even came face to face with Lucifer and the Four Horsemen in averting the Apocalypse.  With the help of allies — both human and supernatural — they’ve discovered that every threat they vanquish opens a new door for evil to enter in.  In the show’s eighth season, their supernatural hunting expedition led them directly into an age-old power struggle involving the King of Hell, legions of warrior angels and a series of divine trials to prove themselves worthy of sealing the Gates of Hell forever.  With the help of their protector, the fallen angel Castiel (Misha Collins), Sam and Dean’s lifelong quest to rid the world of evil will take everything they’ve got.  As dawn arrives after their endless struggle and sacrifice to defeat the world’s monsters, they know that, come nightfall, something otherworldly — something supernatural — will claw its way out of the shadows, demanding their attention.  SUPERNATURAL is from Warner Bros. Television in association with Wonderland Sound and Vision, with executive producers McG (“Charlie’s Angels,” “The O.C.”), Robert Singer (“Midnight Caller”), Jeremy Carver (“Being Human”), Phil Sgriccia and Adam Glass.

And Cas will be a regular again?

CW is desperately trying to kill Supernatural the only show worth watching on the crappiest network out there.

Because there is a thing called Monday night football. It is suicide going against that.

  • Travis Crincoli

ahh. forgot about that. but still, fridays and saturdays are pretty much empty for me. though now i see why they are pairing “The Tomorrow People” with “Arrow”, they are turning wednsdays into “Amell Night”.

  • Travis Crincoli

i dont know, CW has always been good at bringing great shows. Arrow had an amazing first season and im eager for season 2, and The Tomorrow People is looking to be a great show. Plus, 2 Amell’s on one night? Ratings overload. Not to mention an Abs Overload.
