Charisma Carpenter Talks Tonight's "Witchy" 'Supernatural'

Tonight’s Supernatural features the eagerly anticipated reunion of two Buffy greats, Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters, aka Cordy and Spike. Carpenter previewed what we can expect.

Carpenter said of her character, Maggie, a scorned witch to takes out her wrath on the town:

“She has some issues. She’s a girl with issues and a lot of power, which is not a good combination.”

As powerful as Maggie is, though, her husband Don is not to be messed with either:

“The two of them are on the same level. They’re both really powerful personalities, and they’ve met each other’s match.”

Enter Dean and Sam, who try to stop Maggie's destruction by putting the couple back together, because “the only way to get through what we’re going through is to just get back to the love.”

And like on Buffy, we can expect the funny mixed with the serious:

“There were a lot of funny moments in ‘Shut Up, Dr. Phil’ that were just a crack up. [Jensen Ackles] is quite good at the funny. It’s a special brand of talent to pull that off and [the cast and crew] do it so well.”

The one thing not fun for her? Having to wrap her tongue around the language her witch uses:

“I was freaking out. I was literally on the brink of having a meltdown…I always have to put my best foot forward but there was just no time…Jensen had a two page Latin scene he had to recite while yelling at someone — it’s not easy this stuff. But they pull it off. It’s old hat after seven years, but I haven’t had to do that in ages. And Romanian! You can’t even fake an accent. I can fake Spanish and French. It’s just terrible. I’m sorry Romania, if you’re watching.”

Can’t wait for tonight’s episode! How about you?
