'Partners' Cancelled By CBS

The freshman sitcom 'Partners' has been axed by CBS, Deadline reports.

From the creators of Will and Grace, the sitcom starring Sophia Bush and Michael Urie received weak numbers from the pilot airing -- posting a 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.56 million viewers. Last Monday's episode continued to drop as the series hit low with 5.48 million viewers and a 1.8 rating in the same demo.

The network is pulling the sitcom from the air effective immediately. Comedy reruns will then fill the show's  8:30/7:30c Monday time slot starting next week.

No further announcements were made by CBS on what show will replace 'Partners' permanently.
