Parks and Recreation Taps Jason Schwartzman — Casting Spoilers

‘Bored to Death’ actor Jason Schwartzman booked a role on NBC’s Parks and Rec, Huffington Post has learned exclusively. The actor will play the role of Dennis Lerpiss. Check out more details about his character below:

  • Dennis Lerpiss is the owner of Pawnee VideoDome.
  • The video store is the only independent movie rental joint in Pawnee and it has fallen on hard times.
  • Dennis and Leslie (Amy Poehler) team up to get Pawnee VideoDome designated as a historical landmark.

    This happens to be great news for Parks and Recreation, and
    I think Jason Schwartzman will make a great addition to the cast. I enjoy watching Parks and Recreation, which
    has become my favorite primetime show and I have it recorded since I’m always
    at work when it’s on primetime. It used to be a headache for me to pick and
    choose what shows I wanted to watch more. Then my coworker at DISH suggested I
    get the Hopper DVR, which will record PrimeTime Anytime everyday as long as
    it’s enabled and I get all my shows off the four major networks. I always hated
    timer conflicts and multiple recordings on different DVRs. The Hopper solved
    all this mess and I can enjoy my TV and any of my primetime shows.
