Parenthood - Season 4Hello Braverman fans, aren’t you bummed that TV’s most heartfelt drama hasn’t gotten a season 5 pick-up yet? You’re not alone! I suggest you just hang in there for a little while. On this article, we’ve rounded-up the likely chances of Parenthood in getting renewed for season 5 next fall.

The fourth season of Parenthood opened with mediocre performance, garnering a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 with 5.48 million set of eyeballs. The succeeding weeks for the NBC drama were steady, it fluctuated between 1.7 to 1.9 in ratings. On its eleventh episode outing, the series had an uptick of 11% from the previous episode. This helped Parenthood gain a 2.0 rating on the same adult demo. EW.com says that “This matches the show’s season high and represents Parenthood‘s most dominant victory in the adult demo this fall over time slot rivals ABC’s Private Practice and CBS’ Vegas.”

On the recent Paley Fest event, the cast and showrunner (Jason Katims) of Parenthood sat down infront of the fans and the press to hash out the possibilities and other developments abound if ever the show gets a season 5 pick up. The event was moderated by Ausiello from TV line and it is apparent that the entire onscreen Braverman crew were all optimistic about the yet-to-be-renewed NBC drama.

Jason Katims surmises a couple of scenarios on the event:

“Let’s say there’s a Season 5: I absolutely loved the dynamic between [Amber and Ryan] and I would love to continue that storyline. Matt may or may not be available next year, so we’ll have to see what happens.

Hypothetically, there will be a time jump, like in real-time or somewhat close to that.”

Fan favorite, Max Burkholder who plays Aspergers inflicted Max Braverman also enthused his hopes for another season. On the same event he said, “You can never be sure, but I am definitely crossing my fingers!”.

Overall, Parenthood’s future next fall is looking bright. The show may have performed with a meager audience and steady ratings, it is not to be ignored that the Braverman clan has an immense fanbase — a pivotal factor for the series to get a season 5 pickup.

So far, we can predict that Parenthood is ‘a sure thing’ for a season 5 renewal.

Too many shows seem to get cancelled at the whim of some “numbers cruncher”. It seems to me the show has a solid fan base, so why disappoint?

Parenthood and Homeland are the best T.V. shows on television.Great!Great!Great! If NBC drops Parenthood they are as dumb as they seem to be hear lately as to dropping Jay Leno!!!When he is number 1….Dumb ASS… and by the way NBC Execs here is a hint…Drop boring Matt Laur put in Anderson Cooper along with a celeb like Nick Lachey. and mix it up with a younger anchor woman along with an experienced one like Katie Couric along with Hootie and kathy Lee and there you go NBC will be on top again!!!Until then, I’m watching ABC Good Morning America …They are young, fresh and exciting and some of them are older and experienced.I like that… a mixure
