Once Upon A Time has just begun and there have already been amazing twists and turns, but Lana Parrilla just spoiled about the epic origin story that's in store for Regina. Parilla reveals that Regina is the child that was promised and bargained to Rumpelstiltskin!
"They haven't filmed it yet," says Lana Parrilla. "At this point, Regina doesn't have the knowledge that she is the child. There is a hint that he has held her as a baby and she's kind of freaked-out." Still, Regina has other things to worry about considering she needs to turn her attention to rescuing Emma and Snow. "There's conflicting feelings around Emma and Mary Margaret being gone," Parrilla says. "There's celebratory moments typically, and then, 'OMG, without them, I still don't have Henry. I need them in order to have a relationship with Henry.'"
Showrunner Adam Horowitz goes on to add, "As we said last season, evil isn’t born. It’s made. To us, villainy isn’t black and white. Its shades would be a little gray, a little complicated. When [Regina] found out that Henry [Jared Gilmore] didn’t want her to die, I think it renewed her hope a little bit. She’s a different person because of this.”
