After much fan discussion on who should play lead actress on NBC's new TV show Wonder Woman, the decision has been made.
Adrianne Palicki will assume the role of Diana Prince in NBC's reboot of the 1970s series. It has been reported that the actress was the only one the network invited to test for the role.
Executive produced by "Boston Legal" writer David E. Kelley, the NBC series will be a "serious and non-campy" take on the DC Comics creation.
Here's the network's description of the series:
The series pilot is a reinvention of the iconic DC Comics title in which Wonder Woman - a/k/a Diana Prince - is a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life. Kelley and Bill D'Elia (Boston Legal, The Practice) are the executive producers. The pilot was written by Kelley and will be directed by Jeffrey Reiner (NBC's The Event). Wonder Woman is from David E Kelley Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
Most recently, Palicki starred in FOX's short-lived "Lone Star" and she just completed the feature film, "Red Dawn."
