Update on Jess’ lesbian gynecologist friend, Sadie (June Diane Raphael) coming back to the show! TV Guide has just teased that not only will she impact Jess (Zooey Deschanel) but CeCe (Hannah Simone) too:

“Not only will she come back with a partner, but she’ll also be pregnant, sending both Jess and Cece into a tailspin as they realize their baby clocks are ticking.”

What do you think their “tailspins” will include?

As you may or may not know, Rob Reiner and Jamie Lee Curtis are guest-starring on this season’s New Girl Thanksgiving episode as Jess’ parents – and Max Greenfield (Schmidt) may be more excited than we are about Zooey Deschanel’s TV parents.

“When [Jamie Lee Curtis] shows up to set, she really shows up. She’s a force,” [Max] gushes.

Jess’ parents aren’t the only New Girl guest stars this season keeping Max Greenfield on his comedic toes. Rob Riggle (21 Jump Street, The Hangover) is coming on the show as “Big Schmidt”, a cousin of the douche himself who causes some problems, namely Max laughing his butt off.

“I could not keep a straight face with Rob yesterday,” he tells EW. “I ruined so much footage yesterday that it was embarrassing. He’s playing Big Schmidt, A.K.A. Schmidt’s cousin. We both go by Schmidt and that causes some issues.”

“Rob Riggle is playing Big Schmidt, Schmidt’s cousin from Minnesota. All sorts of s–t happens. I literally cannot keep a straight face. I’ve ruined so much footage, it’s unbelievable. He’s the funniest man alive.”

In addition to some new faces, some old ones will return to New Girl in season 2:

In an upcoming episode that sees a return from lesbian gyno Sadie [(June Diane Raphael)], Jess becomes a little concerned about her most fertile years slipping away from her.

Uh-oh! What kind of extremes do you think Jess will go to with that one (you just know Jess will go to extremes…..), and what do you think of these new and recurring characters on New Girl this season?
