In an exclusive from TV Line, the CBS procedural has tapped Sopranos alumna Emily Wickersham for a recurring guest spot with a potential to be a full-timer on its upcoming eleventh season.
Wickersham, according to the site, has been cast as a "potential successor to Cote de Pablo’s Ziva." The actress has booked a three-episode guest arc on NCIS where she will play a somewhat socially awkward new agent named "Bishop".
Bishop is described as bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, and focused. She has a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism. She’s traveled extensively, but only feels comfortable at home.
NCIS which premieres Sept. 24, will air Wickersham's first string of appearances during November sweeps.
