On September 2009, the world of entertainment welcomed a brand-new spin-off series, NCIS: Los Angeles. The newly-arrived cop-procedural drama introduced Chris O'Donnell and rapper L.L. Cool J. as two of TV's hottest undercovers to watch-out for. The show follows the cast of G. Callen and Sam Hanna as part of the Los Angeles Office of Special Projects, an elite division of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service that specializes in undercover assignments.
The show which has been running successfully on air for three seasons, is now looking at a very bright future in NCIS: Los Angeles Season 4. Last March 14, 2012, CBS officially declared a renewal for the show, together with the original NCIS starring Mark Harmon.
The spin-off airs its third season every Tuesday on CBS with a series of credible numbers in rating. Nielsen charted the latest episode of the cop-drama with 14.56 million viewers, achieving the second rank in the timeslot opposite the freshman series of Fox, New Girl. Year-toyear, Nielsen also claimed that NCIS: LA was always up by 6% in the demo.
