SMASH-HUDSON-MCPHEE_510x380NBC has announced some changes on their primetime listings this spring.

Broadway-themed musical, ‘Smash’ which formerly airs every Tuesday is now moving to Saturdays. The remaining episodes of the show’s 17-episodes will now take the Saturday 9/8c berth of NBC beginning April 6.

The struggling ratings for Smash this season must be the network’s motivation for the sudden change in schedule. Season 2 of the musical drew 4.5 million total viewers and a 1.1 demo rating, a series low.

However, Matthew Perry’s ‘Go On’ is faring on the progressive side. The rookie sitcom has been moved to Thursdays at 9:30pm effective April 4. The season finale airs on April 11.

Other additional changes has affected season finale air dates for two comedies — The New Normal and Whitney.

The New Normal will air a one-hour season finale on Tuesday, April 2, from 9 to 10 pm.
Whitney will air a one-hour season finale on Wednesday, March 27.
