Deacon is getting a new love interest on Nashville! The freshman musical soap has recruited Person of Interest actress Susan Misner for a multi-episode guest starring appearance.

Misner’s character is a new vet in town who’ll show up later this season and stick around for several episodes — long enough to show a lovelorn Deacon what his fixation on Ms. James might be costing him.
Creator Callie Khouri teases that this character is “very unlike Rayna and very unlike Juliette”.
