UPDATE: Modern Family co-creator and executive producer, Steve Levitan tells TV Guide that there's "something going on in that department", as far as a possible wedding - or at least a mention of a wedding - between Mitch and Cam this season. Steve Levitan goes on to say that Mitch and Cam "will get into it and it will create lots of issues." (And, thankfully for Mitch, if there is a wedding...Fizbo isn't invited.)
Modern Family co-creator and executive producer, Christopher Lloyd said recently that it could be a possibility that Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet's Mitch and Cam would be getting married in the upcoming season 5 of the show.
Now, E! Online reports that Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet themselves spoil that a wedding for their characters is a sure thing - we just don't know when yet.
"...Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet revealed that a Mitch-Cameron wedding is "in the cards," but no date has been set yet. They hinted it might be a season-finale type of event, so you can wait a bit before you start start planning your themed viewing party."
E! also spoiled that there's something "in the cards" this season for Phil Dunphy, too.
Ty Burrell told us that this season, Phil's optimism will be tested. That actually scares us, because what would be devastating enough to break our dear Phil's spirit?
Good point. What do you think is in store for Phil this season on Modern Family, and do you think our season 5 finale next year might have a Mitch-Cam wedding in store for us?
