Modern Family Breaks Ground: Literally

Okay, so not really. But ABC’s delightfully hi-larious freshman comedy series did manage to rack up some Emmy nominations (despite the Ed O’Neill overlook), and things do get shaken up a bit in this upcoming new season.

After the successful casting of Fred Willard as Frank, Phil Dunphy’s dad (or as I refer to him, “Daddy Dunphy”), fans of Willard and Modern Family alike will be happy to know that he’s coming back for more fun in season 2….

“Mom saw you on TV. You’re dead.” MODERN FAMILY evolved from a pilot I was maybe going to watch (maybe) into a smash-hit series now approaching its season finale. Boy, time goes fast.

Kobe Bryant is in the upcoming season finale of Modern Family, which can only mean one thing. It’s going to be epic. Seriously, though. From family portraits to basketball, something “nuts” is bound to happen.

“Honey, I’m a wife traveling with her kids. This is not a vacation, it’s a business trip.” In tonight’s new Modern Family, our favorite family’s getting into trouble in Hawaii. Okay, so Phil’s getting into trouble in Hawaii.

“Sweet Lady Gaga, that is good.” I’m talking about the episode. Gosh, what did you think I meant? Whelp, the family’s finally in Hawaii, and now it looks like they’ll be the ones in for some surprises.

“But at the end of the day, it is still a building on its side being thrown from one place to another.” With a movie. Can’t forget that.

Gloria’s taking Jay to Hawaii for his birthday. Aw, isn’t that sweet? Though Jay doesn’t think it’s so sweet that the whole family’s tagging along as his surprise. Haha.

Everyone seems to have a lot going on this episode. Something’s up with Manny, something’s up with Mitch (yeah I know, something’s always up with Mitch), but something’s especially up with Claire. Or should I say down?

Family vacations are always hectic. Now throw in your dose of Modern Family, and your vacation is good to go.
