'Legion' Renewed for Season 2 on FX

Legion will return for a second season in 2018, FX has announced on Wednesday. The news comes ahead of the show's first season finale, which will air on March 29th. An official episode count of the new installment is yet to be determined.

Here's a statement from FX boss Eric Schrier:

The first season of Legion was a stunning achievement.

More than a new series, Legion is a wholly original take on the superhero genre. Our thanks to Noah Hawley for taking the creative risks and shattering expectations. It’s a privilege to work again with Noah, his producing partners, the outstanding cast and our partners at Marvel Television on another season of Legion.

Based on the Marvel Comics by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz, Legion follows the story of David Haller (Dan Stevens), a troubled young man who may be more than human. The show is currently averaging to a total of 1.68 million viewers among adults 18-49 in Live+7.
