How I Met Your Mother has reached another episode milestone, they have now reached 200 episodes! The cast and crew celebrated the event and also dropped a few hints for the very special upcoming 200th episode.
Creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas revealed that "Our 100th episode ['Girls vs. Suits'] was very much a celebration of the cast. Not that the cast doesn't deserve celebrating even more after 200 episodes, but this one is a different kind of story," Bays says. "It's about the story. It was an episode we intended on doing anyway, and it just happened to fall on the 200th. ... But it felt like the right one to do in terms of the greater story of the show."
Bays revealed that the episode is called "How Your Mother Met Me," and will detail how the Mother (Cristin Milioti) got to where she is now -- so expect to see references to the yellow umbrella, her time living with Cindy and other near-misses in hers and Ted's (Josh Radnor) story.
Thomas also says that the second half of the season will feature more of Milioti, stating that he"We wanted to find the right balance when she appears". "We like the idea that the audience tunes in not knowing if they'll get her. ... I don't want to say how much or how little [she turns up], because I like the idea that the audience doesn't know week to week. She'll pop up in some unexpected ways."
Also another hinted spoiler given away is episode 199 being titled "Slapsgiving 3: Slappointment in Slapmarra."
