Amber Tamblyn's stint on House will conclude when the season ends this spring, according to Michael Ausiello. Although she was only supposed to be a temporary replacement for Thirteen while Olivia Wilde filmed movies, exec producer David Shore had hoped Tamblyn would decide to stay:
“I wish she was sticking around, because she’s wonderful. But she’s not going to be with us for [much longer].”
Tamblyn's character Martha Masters will depart around the same time that Thirteen returns, and the two will briefly cross paths. Shore is working on her exit script right now.
“We’re going to give her a good sendoff. I’m not at liberty to discuss any details, but she’s getting a good sendoff.”
