Hawaii Five-0 is looking back four decades ago on the hopes to remake a fan-favorite episode from the original series. As EW exclusively reports, the CBS drama will soon start filming a more updated version of “Hookman” — an episode aired 40 years ago which also bagged an Emmys for Best Music Composition in 1974.

Moreover, the report also states that Peter Lenkov is set to direct the legendary episode. He will also guest as the title villain, taking over the role originally played by double amputee Jay J. Armes.

The remake episode is slated to air in early 2013.

‘Hawaii Five-0′ airs every Monday on CBS.
