Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: Is Seattle Grace-Mercy West Closing?

The fictional Seattle-Grace Mercy West Hospital has hurdled a lot in nine years -- Mr. lunatic gunman, an explosive grenade, plane crash, and doctors turning into lesbians..

This season, our favorite hospital is on the brink of bankruptcy. What's in the table for us this time? Will Chief Hunt opt to shut down his hospital?

According to TV Guide, the doctors will go to great lengths to try to keep the hospital open — and in an upcoming Alex-centric episode, those lengths will actually be quite hilarious. Check out more spoilers from showrunner, S. Rhimes! Here's what she told the publication:

"That's a great, funny and interesting episode," executive producer Shonda Rhimes says. "It's really about the idea that they're trying to rebrand the hospital in a certain way. So they're reluctantly fighting to be the face of the hospital, or the cover boy for the hospital, in a way that's very funny and very challenging because you begin to realize how much trouble they really are in at the hospital, so you're watching things fall apart from that perspective."

'Grey's Anatomy' airs Thursdays on ABC.
