The CW has released the promotional photo for the season 6 return of Gossip Girl. If you're reading this now, I'm betting that you simply can't wait for the October 8 premiere and that you're really just dying for some MAJOR spoilers. If that's the case, you can absolutely count on us.
Everyone, relax, keep it cool and let's get ready to be spoiled, shall we?
The promotional photo above gives us a pretty close encounter on what's bound to happen on the premiere. And ofcourse, with Georgina's presence on that image, I am really trying to be focused and calm. Okay, so on the image we see Blair, Chuck, Dan, Nate and Georgina talking to a housemaid. But notice the looks on their faces, it seemed as if they're looking for some answers. That maid could be one hell of a source, I thought.
However, TV Line dished the reason behind this "investigation" from the UES as they talked to the show's E.P Stephanie Savage. She explains that when the premiere begins, the show will initially settle the loose ends that rooted from the season 5 finale. After that, a new mystery will unravel -- hence, the photo.
"Serena is missing," reveals exec producer Stephanie Savage. "No one has heard from her, not even Gossip Girl. She's truly off the map. So the gang has to get together to try and find her." S eventually resurfaces on the arm of a new, more mature beau, played by 7th Heaven vet Barry Watson. "He lets Serena be herself," notes Savage, "which is something that she really needs right now." Blair, meanwhile, finally realizes she needs Chuck — and vice versa. "They now understand what it would mean for them to be together," says exec producer Sara Goodman, adding that they first have to figure out "what they need as separate people" before they can fully commit. The main theme of the season is "adulthood," says Savage.
"High school is long in the past and they're thinking about who they want to be and how they want to be."
That's funny she said that highschool is ''long in the past''. On the report, it further added something that definitely sounds like a classic highschool throwback. It involves two elements: Georgina Sparks and the 'bigger presence' of Georgina Sparks.
Although she won't technically be a series regular, Michelle Trachtenberg will have a bigger presence as Georgina than in any previous season.
