An upcoming sitcom of FX, The Goodwin Games was now reported to air for only 7 episodes, TV Line confirmed. With an initial number of 13 episodes, the FX Network recently ordered the comedy series to cut the mid-season run in half. TV Line continued with its report stating that the primary reason for this cutback was real estate –

Fox recently expanded the seasons of Raising Hope, New Girl and The Mindy Project to 24 episodes apiece. (Rookie comedy Ben and Kate, meanwhile, has a 19-episode order.) The source insists that the seven episodes of Goodwin Games will see the light of day.

From the creators of HIMYM, The Goodwin Games centers on a trio of estranged siblings — played by Becki Newton, Scott Foley and T.J. Miller — who must obey their father’s wishes in order to receive possession of his inheritance.
