UPDATE: Ruby's name has been changed to Bree, and Erinn Westbrook has been cast in the new recurring role! Check out the details here.
Glee sure is juggling around the cast members these days, although if you ask me, I think it's a good thing the show found some Glee gems in newcomers like Blake Jenner (Ryder) and Jacob Artist (Jake). Well, look out for yet another McKinley newbie when season 5 rolls around this fall.
TVLine dished in a recent spoiler that Glee has plans for new recurring characters for the show, including a new student character at McKinley High in Lima...and a couple twenty-somethings we can only assume will be part of the New York story lines.
"[There will be] at least three new female recurring characters, including African-American McKinley newbie
RubyBree, and twentysomethings Julie and Ryan. Interestingly, actresses auditioning for Ryan must be able to sing and play guitar. Potential portrayers of Julie just need to be cute and quirky."
"Cute and quirky" Julie and singer-guitarist Ryan, huh? What do you think of this quick casting news for Glee season 5?
