Back on February 25, Lea Michele tweeted that an upcoming Rachel scene would involve “lots and lots of crying”.
This scene I’m shooting at #Glee today requires lots and lots of crying.. At first it’s therapeutic.. Then it just becomes exhausting!

Of course first our thoughts naturally go to a possible pregnancy scare, seeing as how “I Do” left us with that shocking twist for Rachel’s storyline in New York. As Glee showrunner, Ryan Murphy told TV Guide at PaleyFest this year, it will definitely serve as a “wake-up call” for the real Rachel we know and love – and now that Naya Rivera’s Santana has moved her way into New York, Santana just may be the one to make that call.
“For me, I was really interested in that idea of the single girl in New York trying to figure it out and I wanted something that would jolt her, good or bad, back to her core,” Murphy said. “She and Santana have a really big story about that where Santana is like, ‘What the hell happened to you?’ which I think happens to a lot of people right out of high school. They waver from their dream a little bit and Santana’s job is to sort of get her back on the right track.”
Are you excited to see a bit more of the “old Rachel” return in future episodes, and this new kind of role for Santana?
