In the midst of all the “sexy Rachel” and Dean Geyer spoilers, Lea Michele has tipped us off that while Finn (Cory Monteith) might not be back right away, Finn will come into focus during season 4 eventually. To give us a little bit more of an idea of exactly when Finn will be coming back and exactly what will be going on (aside from a possible Finchel break-up), Lea said more recently that the storyline for Finn is going to be “so cool and so different”.
“I can say that Cory is fully on the show this year,” Lea told [E! Online] during a break from on-set rehearsals, “and what he will be doing this year is very exciting. His storyline is so cool and so different. You couldn’t even ever guess. Honestly! It’s like, amazing. So that’s something the fans can really look forward to. And people saw the pictures of us filming together in New York City together, so they won’t have to wait too long. When [Finn] comes back, he’s really back and it is great.”
So what could be so “amazing” and “exciting” happening in the season 4 Finn-iverse? Michael Ausiello of TVLine has a little bit more for us to work with:
“Here’s what I know: In Episode 4, which just so happens to be the big “Break-Up” episode, [Finn] will encounter a drill sergeant. In Episode 5, he helps McKinley newbie Ryder (played by Glee Project champ Blake Jenner) get into New Directions. And at some point after that, per Falchuk, he will get a new love interest.”
Okay, so that gives us a little bit better of an idea of Finn’s place in this new Glee world. (As a mentor to The Glee Project‘s Blake Jenner’s character?? We couldn’t have asked for anything better, Ryan Murphy.)
What are you hoping to see from Finn in Glee‘s season 4, and what do you think of the name for Blake’s character?
