Finchel fans are still in mourning, and Lea Michele (Rachel) is no exception. She's still hoping that Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel will end up together eventually, but for right now at least, she says they'll remain broken up.
"For the short term, they will be apart. It's going to be interesting to see what happens with Rachel and Brody (Dean Geyer). I have a feeling Rachel is going to be single for a little while and focus on why she came to New York, which is to go to NYADA and become a Broadway star. But in the long run, it's my hope that they'll end up together."
So. What will Rachel Berry be doing with all that free time? (Hint: It's not Brody.)
"She's going to want to start auditioning for some shows and it's going to be interesting to see her in that environment of auditioning for theater in New York and trying to become a singer or an actor. She hasn't really branched into that yet but that's where things are headed, that will be the next level for her."
Rachel won't be the only half of a couple moving on in a major way after the big "Break Up" episode. According to Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester), we're going to be hearing even more of Darren Criss' (Blaine) sweet Warbler voice.
“Darren has numbers in every episode...I mean, we’re using Darren’s talent.... Darren’s character, Blaine, and Kurt (Chris Colfer) broke up. That happened recently, and Blaine is trying to find his own identity at McKinley (High School) without Kurt. Kurt will do the same in New York. I think it’s good for everybody that they’re breaking up. They’re still young, and they have so much to do.”
What other new experiences do you envision for Rachel in New York, and do you think Blaine will find his place at McKinley without Kurt?
