As Glee matures into something a little different in season 4, so will its first leading lady, Rachel Berry (Lea Michele). Spoilers are already running rampant that a new kind of (sexy) Rachel Berry has been seen on the set of Glee, and that the Glee writers have already written her a possible new love interest in fellow NYADA student, Brody (Dean Geyer). As Glee co-creator and writer, Brad Falchuk puts it:
“She’s now not coming from a place when she met Finn, where she was like this totally insecure, annoying little girl,” [Brad] says. “Now she’s a woman and she’s been through a lot and she’s achieved a lot. So she approaches boys differently, with a different kind of confidence and a different kind of maturity. There’s not as much, ‘Don’t mention sex.’”
But hey, wait a minute. What about Finn?
Brad Falchuk told TVLine that while a love interest for Finn is still “undetermined”, that he will “definitely have someone”. But does this mean that it’s completely over for Finchel?
“I want Rachel and Finn to have a happy ending,” [Brad] insists. “I think the idea is that maybe they end up together, but a lot can change. As we write we might discover something interesting. It’s definitely not going to get better anytime soon for those two.”
What do you think of Glee‘s sudden turn with Rachel and Finn’s relationship?
