I'm sure you're dying to know why Mr. Ryan Murphy shared this photo (right) via Twitter of "that masked man"...of course it's Darren Criss as Blaine dressed as...Robin. More on that later, first - what's this about Brody getting right in the middle of Finchel?
You've probably already gotten acquainted with Brody (Dean Geyer) through this post and others - he's a NYADA peer of Rachel's who takes to her rather quickly, and while he isn't the essence of a potential Finchel breakup, he's certainly not helping things any (he even does a Britney duet with Rachel in episode 2!). But the man behind Brody, Dean Geyer himself, says that even he is a fan of Finchel. No, really.
"I think they fit really well," [Dean] says. "But as the episodes go on I feel like Brody is…I feel like he is really right for her. At the same time, I'm torn between being a fan of Finn and Rachel and now Brody and Rachel."
Naturally our Gleeky minds have been creating this future fantasy where Finn (Cory Monteith) and Dean Geyer's new character, Brody have some sort of Finchel face-off - and Lea Michele (Rachel) sent out a tweet back on September 5 that sounded a lot like Brody and Finn will at least be bumping into each other.
"...Shooting with @CoryMonteith, @chriscolfer, @DarrenCriss & @geyerdean yay!!"
So it's more than just Brody meets Finchel...it sounds like the poor guy gets caught up in all the Finchel-Klaine drama. Speaking of Klaine, or at least half of Klaine...so what's with Blaine in Robin costume? And what happened to his Batman?
There's nothing concrete out there yet, but I'm guessing it has something to do with all those other clubs Blaine is going to be joining to take his mind off Kurt (because you know, glee club certainly isn't going to do that)...and I've heard something vague about superheroes, but we'll have to wait and see for the details.
But I do have more Glee spoilers for you! Check out all the little tidbits, below:
- There's a new teacher at McKinley - but don't worry Wemma fans, she's in her 50s - think she'll butt heads with Sue? She's being described as a "Mrs. Nevertheless", and she could end up recurring.
- Glee showrunner Ryan Murphy tweeted a while ago: "Blaine and Sam. #straightsandgayscanbebestbuds". Aw, Blaine could use a friend! Can't wait to see this in action, especially considering they both could be vying for New Directions leadership with Rachel and Finn gone. (Oh and by the way, a bonus tidbit: Sam's actor, Chord Overstreet thinks harsh Kate Hudson's character, Cassandra is really for "Rachel's best". Ha.)
- Not a ton of Brittana action coming up because, well, Santana (Naya Rivera) isn't exactly patrolling the halls of McKinley anymore. Which of course makes for a tad depressing Brit...but according to this article by E! Online, we do get some "very intimate details about their Skype sessions that prove the spark between those two has not been lost at all." Sweet.
- After pre-screening the season 4 premiere, Zap2It is "particularly enamored with Puck's little brother, Jake and...can't wait to see him and Puck share scenes later in the season." They also spoil for us that Puck is totally in the dark about his younger half-brother. In other words, he "doesn't [even] know he exists." Whoa!
What are your favorite spoilers? What do you think about Brody getting in the middle of Finchel, and are you with me in hoping for a ton of awesome Blaine-Sam scenes? (Could Sam be the Batman to Blaine's Robin??)
