Wait, what? NYADA has a glee club? As spoiled to us by Deadline and confirmed by BuddyTV, British actor, Oliver Kieran-Jones (Matt LaBlanc’s Episodes) has been cast into a recurring role as part of Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Rachel’s (Lea Michele) NYADA storyline in New York.
Oliver Kieran-Jones is set to make several Glee appearances as the head of NYADA’s glee club – which Kurt will join in upcoming episodes (and apparently Rachel forgot to join).
“[Deadline has] learned that the Fox dramedy, known for breaking fresh talent, has cast young British actor Oliver Kieran-Jones in a recurring role. (The show tends to cast newcomers as recurring and then promote those whose characters pop to regulars.) Kieran-Jones will play the leader of the glee club at NYADA, which new student Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) is interested in joining.”
So does this mean Glee will be going back and forth between two glee clubs now? And is the NYADA glee club our only hope of competition this season on the show, since Marley (Melissa Benoist) caused New Directions to lose at Sectionals?
It’s being said that Kieran-Jones’ character will also be a new love interest for Kurt. Will it be more like a student-teacher crush, or do you think Kurt’s interest will be reciprocated?
