So we all know by now that Glee is bigger than Mike Chang's abs, and last night's season 2 premiere is definitely no exception. It seems FOX won the night, scoring a 5.5 rating with adults 18-49 (a 5.6 in its second half hour), and racking in 12.3 million viewers. Not to mention it easily ranked as the top program among the ad-centric demo for the night. That's more than 50% from last year's season one September 9 premiere (go Glee!).
Head on over to TV Numbers for more info on Tuesday's primetime ratings (and to see how Glee's season 2 premiere came on stronger than Rachel Berry sending Sunshine Corazon to a crack house).
Oh, and if you're like me and can't get Rachel and Sunshine's "Telephone" or Sam and the guy's rendition of "Billionaire" out of your head, you're probably itching to re-listen to those songs in "Audition" again, huh? You can listen to full streaming versions of the songs featured in Glee's season 2 premiere, "Audition" over at our sister site, Glee Soundtrack.
