No one connected with Glee has given a yea or nay yet as to whether either of our Glee Project winners will be returning next season. Heck, we still don’t know which of our regulars are returning for sure next season – other than Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith), and Kurt (Chris Colfer) of course. But Samuel Larsen did say in his recent interview with Wetpaint Entertainment that we’ll get to see his character, Joe Hart for sure in more than his original seven episode winnings:
“…I’m definitely going past the 7 episodes I was guaranteed but the way the character’s going and how much they’ve been writing for me, I’m really just hoping that they’ll pick up my option to be a series regular for next year. I’ve heard from a lot of people that could very well happen. [...] I love the show and I love being there and I wanna help Glee become the best it can be and I want to be part of that.”
More Sam Larsen in future Glee episodes? Heck yeah! In addition to loving the possibility of maybe becoming a series regular next season, Sam says he’s “excited about where [his] character is going and where the whole story is going…”, but that we have to wait and watch to find out exactly what. (You’re so no fun, Sam.) All in all, we can definitely look forward to seeing more of Samuel as Joe Hart, at least while we’re still in season 3:
But fans will for sure see more of Samuel — the Glee Project winner who recently graduated to the big show — because producers have beefed up his role as formerly home schooled Joe Hart. And the actor said he recently tweeted a comment of how happy he was to work with Dianna “because we had a scene to do, and it was the first time I got to do something juicy.”
What do you think, would Samuel Larsen be your Glee Project winner of choice to be upped to a series regular for season 4, or are you more partial to Damian (McGinty)?
