So far on Glee, Rachel Berry's two dads have been the ever elusive characters - so much so that we were beginning to wonder if they would ever grace our TV screens, or forever remain a part of the Glee world hidden from our view.
Well, showrunner Ryan Murphy has decided that it's high time he introduced the gold star glee clubber's parents.
In fact, TVLine just announced the two musical men cast to fill the roles of Lea Michele's TV gay dads, Hiram and LeRoy Berry:
"A show insider confirms to TVLine exclusively that onetime Law & Order: Criminal Intent detective Jeff Goldblum and Broadway veteran Brian Stokes Mitchell have been tapped to play Hiram and LeRoy Berry, the adoptive parents of Lea Michele’s character."
Goldblum and Mitchell will first appear (and yep, sing!) in the February 14 episode - otherwise known as the "Valentine's Day episode" - appropriately titled, "Heart".
"I always would say before, 'I don't know, I don't think so' but I think now it's a definite possibility [that they'll be introduced]," Michele reveals. "Ryan and I were brainstorming some names the other day. I'm excited being a part of the concept with him. I've had a couple of people I thought would be great initially, and now brainstorming with Ryan I'm like 'Oh, WHOA! Really?' I did suggest that maybe Kanye West could be one of my dads, but I think he said he's unavailable."
Do Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell have the "Oh, WHOA! Really?" effect on you? Rachel fans, give a shout-out in the comments in anticipation of this big episode!
