Greenlight Says Go Ahead For Glee?

It’s not exactly considered the norm for TV series to get greenlit for another season so early in the year – usually it’s expected in May, with the upfronts, or maybe as early as February. Of course, as we all know, Glee does things far from normal, and with its top ratings and buzzing popularity, Gleeks are already guessing that season 2 will be well on its way.

According to an exclusive from The Wrap (thanks to Gleeks United for the heads-up!), it’s a possibility that Fox could renew Glee for its second season as early as this month. While such an early pickup hasn’t really happened since Heroes in 2007, it would definitely work to the series’ advantage, as far as early season planning/writing and marketing goes.

This Monday, Fox will meet with reporters at the winter Television Association press tour – which is the time when we could expect the early greenlight to be revealed. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
