Glee's Matthew Morrison has confirmed to Access Hollywood that he's got plans in the works for a solo album.
In an interview with AH's Billy Bush, Morrison says he's "finalizing a record deal" and wants to release an album that will be "a little classier than Justin Timberlake."
From the article:
“I want to be like the next Gene Kelly. I want to kind of do it all,” he noted. “I want to have a career in movies, television, music and Broadway – but have them all be separate, their own entities.”
And while Matthew isn’t the only “Glee” star planning their own solo album — show creator Ryan Murphy told Billboard that Lea Michele (another former Broadway star-turned-“Glee” club member) is also considering a solo project — one endeavor Matthew won’t be sharing with his cast mates is the reported show tour set for summer 2010.
