Glee Goes Gaga Again!

Okay, I’ve got good news and bad news (and you’re probably rolling your eyes with that one – I know, totally uncool). But I’m going to go ahead and run with it anyway. Bad news first?

The bad news is…Glee actually won’t be returning until April 19, rather than the original April 12 return air date we were expecting (but hey, it coincides perfectly with the Warblers CD release). The good news (and there’s lots to this good news) is…the return episode will be an extra-special long 90-minute episode (more than likely, don’t hold me to that), featuring another Lady Gaga tribute!

“While not another tribute outing, the episode’s theme of self-acceptance was inspired by the singer’s runaway hit “Born this Way.” In fact, the title of the episode is “Born This Way” and it concludes with a rousing performance of the No. 1 smash.”

Check out the details of that, and more upcoming spoilers, down below:

  • The episode will pay tribute not only to Lady Gaga but to bully Dave Karofsky – and, honoring actor Max Adler’s wish to see Karofsky perform a number (and namely, this particular number), we’ll get to see none other than him perform “Born This Way”.
  • The theme of course won’t just revolve around Karofsky, it will be carried through to all our other favorite Gleeks as the question of self-esteem (especially in the form of body image) arises: Lauren Zizes will campaign for prom queen (give Quinn a run for her money? Haha), and Rachel will contemplate a nose job (inspired I’m sure by Lea Michele’s own life).
  • It has yet to be confirmed one-hundred percent by FOX, but the 90-minute episode extension is because of a couple extra numbers being added to the set list – though we’re not yet sure if those will also be more Gaga songs to follow in the footsteps of “Poker Face” and “Bad Romance”.
  • Here’s a little something unrelated to the return Lady Gaga tribute but kind of similar, content-wise – there’s a rumor that Sam will be kicked out of his house because he’s gay (what?!). But, the part of that rumor that IS true is that we’ll get to see some of Sam’s home life in an upcoming episode called, “Rumors” (which I’m guessing coincides with seeing Sam’s little bro and sis). The reason for this plot line? Suspicious that Quinn is cheating on him with Sam, Finn goes on a stakeout with Rachel – at Sam’s house. Finchels, rejoice.

why would rachel o on a stakeout with finn to reassure him that quinn is loyal to him? she would never give in like that? unles she has a secret plan to get closer to finn tht way by convincing him that quinn is cheating.

  • guest101

it’s very unlikely that finchel would go on stakeout together…
as for the sam is gay part: i’m not buying it! it would be really funny but i think it’s the same sham they pulled with the death in the regionals episode….
won’t happen, altough it would allow a lot of possibilities (karofsky-sam-kurt-blaine….)

I’m confused… I thought the next episode back, episode 17, would be “Night of Neglect.” I was under the impression that episode 18 was “Born This Way.”

  • faberrybrittanalover

Well Jane Lynch did say in an interview (before season 2 started) that Kurt’s bf would be played by a blond with big lips, so maybe thats the storyline after all?

I think the title of the episode implys that Sam being gay is a rumor.

  • redvines

i think while initially sam was intended to be kurts bf, don’t foget that after the klaine storyline in never been kissed was so popular, the re-wrote the remaining episodes.

  • reem89

nooo why why did he have to be gayyy :”( no way i loved his chracter especially that he was with quinn now hes GAYYY? WTH IS WRONG WITH GLEE?

  • Bitterpoo Poopenstine

Oh shut up why did you have to be what you are. He may or may not be but don’t be a batch about it.

  • KumQuickBrittana

Sam was the original boyfriend for Kurt. His storyline was a closeted jock that Kurt befriends and helps come out, then they fall for each other. But then Ryan Murphy said that they changed the storyline because Chord and Dianna have ‘chemistry.’ (Seriously? What chemistry?)

If Sam and Quinn were really why they changed such an important stoyline (closeted jock), wouldn’t they have stuck with it, rather than have them hook up for popularity and break up a few episodes later?

Plus, we all know Quinn and Puck are endgame so I doubt they would change Sam’s storyline and make Klaine endgame, for a few episodes of Quam/Fabrevans.

    Sam is gay. It’s Kumming.

  • KumQuickBrittana

Lol didn’t Glee teach you anything about acceptance and how homophobia is wrong?

Comments like these are the reason why Glee should go with closeted jock storyline for Sam. Also, Sam was always meant to be gay, this is a comment I posted as a reply for someone else:

“Sam was the original boyfriend for Kurt. His storyline was a closeted jock that Kurt befriends and helps come out, then they fall for each other. But then Ryan Murphy said that they changed the storyline because Chord and Dianna have ‘chemistry.’ (Seriously? What chemistry?)

That’s because, as someone else said, Sam was supposed to be Kurt’s boyfriend, but Ryan Murphy changed his mind. He pushed back the Kurt getting a boyfriend storyline in order to make one about the bullying. ;)

Ok, is there a reaso that your comment seems so innapropriately homophobic? If you watch glee, and have those kinds of issues, there may just be something wrong with YOU, love.

Ok Ok i just gonna said that i hope is just a rumor… now everyones is gay in glee?? come on… the world have other situations or perspective were people are not accept for what they are: poor, immigrant, etc..

  • princesslulu

it is, episode 19 is “rumors”

  • TRICKEE

This is getting a little fustrating how the writers seem to go to Finchel to Quinchel? Quick to Puckleberry? This is High School, I went out with my first boyfriend when I was like 5-15 though we were like the best est friends ever. And hey, we still are =P And when we broke up, we were good friends and I didn’t resent him for moving on, and he didn’t me. We’ve known eachother for almost 17 years…=O

  • Tdjay15

I’m all for more Sam but Kurt, Blaine, Karofsky, now Santana? Thats more than enough gay kids.
