Coldplay Gives the Go-Ahead on Song Catalog

Remember that big stink with Coldplay refusing their song catalog to Glee? While at first it might have felt shocking, without seeing any script pages in advance and with the series just starting out, their concern was understandable. But it seems after seeing artists like Journey and Madonna featured on the show and the soundtrack albums, Coldplay recently had a change of heart and decided to offer up their song catalog after all, in fact, in its entirety:

“At the beginning,” [Ryan] Murphy said, “a lot of people didn’t know what we were and asked to see pages (in advance), but I refused because I didn’t want to set precedent of them having any involvement. My favorite rejection was Bryan Adams. Coldplay and Bryan Adams were really the only rejections. But Coldplay called a week ago and said, ‘We’re sorry, you can have our catalog.’”

That’s so cute that Ryan stood by his show and was willing to prove to everyone that they were a good show. Everyone SHOULD WANT to have their music on Glee at this point.
