dads_ep4 - 5FOX’s freshman comedy, Dads has been picked up for a full season, the network announced Friday.

“Fox has been looking to break into the multi-camera format for some time,” Fox’s Chairman of Entertainment, Kevin Reilly, said in a statement. “With Dads, we have an asset that we can grow, and we’re looking forward to seeing where the fantastic cast and the creative minds of Seth, Alec [Sulkin], Mike [Scully] and Wellesley [Wild] take us the rest of the season.”

Dads which stars Seth Green and Giovanni Ribsi, has been labeled as the most offensive series of the season after critics reviewed its pilot episode (which aired Sept. 17). But despite of this, TV Guide claims that “Fox tried to use the bad press to its advantage”.

The half-hour comedy will now air its first season with a total of 22 episodes. On the previous weeks, FOX has also ordered a full season for Brooklyn Nine-Nine and a second season pick-up for Sleepy Hollow.
