[UPDATED] FOX 2017-2018 TV Season: What's cancelled, renewed & what new shows are coming

Broadcast networks have laid down their chopping blocks in the past few days and we now have an official list on what's cancelled and renewed for the 2017-2018 TV season. 

Also, multiple pilots that are officially greenlit to series have also been announced. Make sure to check the loglines and cast information of those scripted shows as well.

New Shows

The Orville

                             

The Orville is a live-action, one-hour series set 400 years in the future that follows the adventures of The Orville, a mid-level exploratory spaceship, as its crew, both human and alien, face the wonders and dangers of outer space, while also dealing with the familiar, often humorous problems of everyday life.

The series stars MacFarlane as the ship's Commanding Officer and Adrianne Palicki ("Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Friday Night Lights") as his ex-wife, who's assigned as his First Officer.

911

From Ryan Murphy, the series is described as a drama that's "in the vein of ER and revolves around 911 operators."

The Resident

A tough, brilliant senior resident guides an idealistic young doctor through his first day, pulling back the curtain on what really happens, both good and bad, in modern-day medicine.

Ghosted

A cynical skeptic (Craig Robinson), and a genius "true believer" in the paranormal (Adam Scott), are recruited by a secret government agency to look into the rampant "unexplained" activity in Los Angeles -- all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race.

L.A. to Vegas

An ensemble workplace comedy about an airline crew and the eccentric passengers who, every weekend, take the roundtrip flight from Burbank to Las Vegas with one goal in mind - to come back a winner.

Cast: Dylan McDermott, Kim Matula, Ed Weeks 

The Gifted 

The Gifted focuses on a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

Cast: Stephen Moyer as Reed Strucker, Amy Acker as Caitlin Strucker, Sean Teale as Eclipse / Marcos Diaz
