‘Dracula’ Spoilers: NBC Cast’s ‘Tudors’ Alum, Jonathon Rhys Meyers In Lead

NBC has green lighted a complete series order for the legendary classic, Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’. The new 10 episode drama is based on a script by co-executive producer Cole Haddon and will star HBO’s The Tudors alum, Jonathon Rhys Meyers in the lead role. The “cool, new version” has Executive Producer and Emmy winner Colin Callender is teaming Tony Krantz, former HBO Films president, along with Gareth Neame~Downton Abbey and Anne Mensah from Sky Living and Universal Television.

Dracula will be introduced when he arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier. There’s only one circumstance that can potentially thwart his plan: Dracula falls hopelessly in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.

Meyers long list of credits include major motion pictures Match Point, August Rush, Bend It Like Beckham and the made-for-TV movie Elvis. NBC has not released an air date yet, but I promise I’ll keep you up to date on this hot new series! Sound off below with your thoughts!!
