The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural has been set to premiere a week earlier from the previously announced schedule.
Beginning October 3 (Thursday), The Vampire Diaries will lead off the night at 8pm followed by the series launch of spinoff, The Originals at 9pm. Note that the regular timeslot of The Originals (which begins on the 2nd episode) is still every Tuesday at 8pm.
In addition, veteran series Supernatural will debut its ninth season on Tuesday, October 8 at 9pm.
For period drama Reign, the new series has been bumped a week later from the previously announced. It will now debut on Oct. 17 (Thursday) at 9pm after The Vampire Diaries.
All of the CW’s other shows will premiere as previously scheduled.
