The network is also coming out fresh with a bunch of newly picked-up series, some of which are Arrow and The Carrie Diaries to name a few. Arrow stars Stephen Amell based on the popular DC Comics character. The latter surrounds the prequel series about SJP’s role, Carrie in the legendary series Sex and the City.
The big twist for the CW however, points toward the former Friday slot where another hit, Supernatural of the CW resides. The longtime favorite Supernatural is moved to Wednesdays airing after Arrow!
The veteran series Gossip Girl which is now facing a shortened season 6, stays on its Monday timeslot while Rachel Bilson’s fish-out-of-water dramedy Hart of Dixie will join another new medically motivated show, “Emily Owens M.D.” starring Mammie Gummer (a.k.a Merryl Streep’s daughter) every Tuesdays.
Vampire Diaries, another CW highly supported show, remains static on its Thursday schedule and will be followed by Kristin Kreuk’s Beauty and the Beast which follows the plot of Beauty, a “smart, no-nonsense” police detective. She teams up with a man who turns into a beast when he’s mad, and they work together to unlock the mysteries of their past.
Maggie Q.’s Nikita, on the other hand continues on Friday nights teaming up with Tyra Banks’ ANTM.
